Hanningfield’s Helping Hand
As part of our continued commitment to support local charities, a number of teams from Hanningfield were recently given time to take part in volunteering at our local hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.
The four groups enjoyed assisting with a number of maintenance tasks during their visits including gardening, painting, and general DIY projects. Everyone had fun during their time away from their usual 9-5 and greatly valued the opportunity to give back to our local community. We were thrilled to learn that this year Hanningfield provide 186 hours to support this local charity. We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to our team members who took part in this project. We would also like to thank the kind staff at both Fair Havens and Little Havens who made our visits possible. It is a privilege to play a small role in helping this fantastic organisation and we very much look forward to organising more volunteering days in the new year!

About Fair Havens & Little Havens
Fair Havens Hospice in Westcliff opened its doors in 1983 and has since cared for 25,000 adults across Southend, Castle Point and Rochford, as well as their families. It is the only hospice in South East Essex which cares for adults with complex and incurable conditions, providing respite, symptom control and end of life care.
During the 10th anniversary year of Fair Havens, the Little Havens project was born. Little Havens opened in 1998 and has been caring for children from across Essex and the surrounding areas ever since. Their mission is “to offer the best possible palliative and supportive care, free from fear and barriers, where the patient and those important to them are always put first”.
