Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
To ensure material integrity before downstream processing. Unwanted alien objects (twist ties, zip ties, paper, plastic etc.) are retained in the sifter basket, allowing only purified and screened material to pass.
A traditional sieve has a flat mesh deck, using vibration and gravity to pass material. Instead, the Kwik-Sift features a spinning basket, using centrifugal force to pass material through the screen / mesh.
Yes, by utilising centrifugal force rather than gravity, the Kwik-Sift will significantly outperform traditional sieve capacity on almost all products. Some sticky, hygroscopic or heat sensitive materials may be better suited to a vibratory sieve.
No. Unlike a vibratory sieve, the Kwik-Sift does not have the means to separate oversize material. Oversize material will remain in the sifter basket.
Yes, with the addition of a breaker-bar, the Kwik-Sift can be used for de-lumping. Although, if size reduction is the primary objective, you should consider a milling machine instead.
Screen size can typically be changed in less than 2 minutes, by undoing 4 bolts, changing mesh, and re-tightening the bolts.
Yes, we can supply this machine to meet the most stringent zoning requirements, including ATEX Zone 0/20.
