This year’s annual fundraising event took place on Sunday 2nd June. A group of brave Hanningfield runners completed the infamous Maldon Mud Run 2024 to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital!
This year, which was the event’s 50th anniversary race, saw over 300 people take part, 20,000 spectators watch on, and over £30,000 raised for various charities. Participants run, leapt and crawled their way across a 1300 ft stretch of the River Blackwater in Essex at low tide to raise money for various charities.
A huge congratulations to our team – Brad, Candice, Harrison, James, Nathan, James C, Callum & Nathan – for successfully completing the grueling race in excellent time! The group’s superb efforts raised an impressive total of £1500+ for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
James Ellis, our Managing Director said “The team had a brilliant time raising money for this incredible cause. They did incredibly well to raise such a significant amount of money and completed the race in great time. A special ‘thank you’ to Brad for organising another fantastic charity fundraising event. We are already looking forward to next year’s challenge!”
On behalf of everyone at Hanningfield, we would like to say a huge well done to our team for completing this messy accomplishment! You should feel very proud of all you have achieved and the funds you have raised! We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who donated and enabled Team Hanningfield to exceed their set target! The group had a wonderful time (albeit a tad dirty!) and are already thinking about their next charity endeavour!
