Hanningfield Sack Tip Station
A Sack Tip Station is a simple and effective method for emptying sacks, bags etc. while controlling the dust emissions caused during unloading.
The operator lifts the bag onto the shelf of the station, then pierces the bag and empties the contents into the inlet of the downstream conveyor system. This provides a contained and safe alternative method for the unloading of bags prior to vacuum conveying and other powder transfer methods (e.g. screw conveyors, bucket elevators). The sack tip station incorporates a dust extraction hood to protect the operator and the process environment during emptying.
Key Features
> Enables fast, safe and easy loading of downstream process (gravity or vacuum)
> Sack Tip Stations can be supplied with integrated dust extraction (filter / fan)
> Feed bins can include agitator for bridge prevention
> Stainless steel construction (with 316L contact parts)
Custom designs are available to suit any application. To discuss your requirements, contact us using the details below.
Process Example: Sack Tip Station Feeding a Vacuum Conveyor
The bag is emptied into the Sack Tip Station, where the powder is then sucked away by the vacuum conveyor. In this application, the powder then discharges into an IBC.
