Stainless steel is one of the most commonly used metals due to its corrosion resistant properties.
The high levels of chromium and addition of molybdenum form a protective barrier on the surface of stainless steel. This resistance to corrosion (and thus rusting) has resulted in stainless steel being a staple construction material in the pharmaceutical industry. Stainless steel 316L (EN 1.4404) is a standard for most contact parts.
All Hanningfield machines are designed to GMP standards, using 316L stainless steel for all contact parts. Read more about GMP >>>.
