The Hanningfield Uni-Cap 5″ (127mm) is designed to be used as a dust seal or as a contained transfer method (with a hole cut in the centre).
Technical Description
The cap is designed to fit onto the Uni-Cap 5″ Mounting Ring, enabling it to be fitted or retrofitted to any process. This allows the cap to be used as a protective cover or alternatively a hole can be cut in the centre of the cap to accommodate a penetrating spigot up to 100mm diameter, enabling the dust tight transfer of powder.
The Uni-Cap 5″ has a nominal height of 35mm with a 127mm diameter. The 5″ mounting ring has a nominal height of 50mm with an outside diameter of 127mm and a wall thickness of 2mm.
As standard, the caps are manufactured from translucent silicone (FDA CFR 177.2600), but can be supplied in alternative materials (e.g. EPDM) or colours (e.g. blue) in dedicated batches to satisfy your application. We are also able to introduce new tooling for unlisted sizes upon request. Mounting rings are manufactured from 316L stainless steel (180 grit).
