Vacuum transfer is used to to make the vertical transfer of material simpler and safer. Consequently, it is often required to suspend the vacuum hopper at height, while retaining the ability to control the hopper (e.g. lower and dock onto an inlet).
We supply a range of post hoists, including customised lift systems, to raise and lower vacuum transfer hoppers/conveyors as required. The post hoist enables the safe and simple docking of the hopper above a process machine and lowering of the hopper back to ground level for cleaning and maintenance.
A Typical Post Hoist Application
A typical process set up involves the post hoist raising the vacuum transfer hopper, slewing it above the process machine and then lowering for a high-accuracy dock. The convey sequence can then commence until the batch is complete – at this point the hopper can be raised (to un-dock), slewed away from the machine and lowered back to ground level (start position). The vacuum hopper can then be taken away for dismantling and cleaning – maintaining a safe processing environment.
Choose the Post Hoist that Suits your Requirements
Whether your application requires the post hoist to be electric, pneumatic or manual – or fixed in one place or mounted to a mobile cart/trolley – we have the solution for you. The Uni-Hoist is available in six standard models to satisfy various applications, with custom built hoists also available:
> Uni-Hoist HES (Hoist Electric Stationary)
> Uni-Hoist HEM (Hoist Electric Mobile)
> Uni-Hoist HMS (Hoist Manual Stationary)
> Uni-Hoist HMM (Hoist Manual Mobile)
> Uni-Hoist HPS (Hoist Pneumatic Stationary)
> Uni-Hoist HPM (Hoist Pneumatic Mobile)
Our Uni-Hoist systems are engineered for safe and repeatable operation in hygienic environments. The hoist lift systems can utilise various lifting mechanisms (such as lead-screw or chain), with fail-safe features to prevent the vacuum transfer hopper from slipping in case of malfunction. The standard post hoist models are manufactured from 304 stainless steel (150 grit) and designed for use in hygienic GMP environments, with smooth surfaces and polished aesthetic welds.
The post hoists are suitable for use with the Hanningfield Uni-Vac vacuum conveyors, or can be used with any other type / brand / manufacturer.
