Traditional Bin Blending processes often prove to be slow and labour intensive.
The reason for this is largely due to the charging and discharging of blenders to and from Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs). Other issues associated with traditional blending include significant dust generation and time lost during clean-up. Thus, by removing these stages and blending the product in the bin, we are able to significantly reduce downtime, and as a result, increase overall productivity.
IBC Bin Blending
IBC Blending offers a simple and effective solution to the mixing of powders. Material is blended inside a single, contained IBC which means there is no risk of environmental exposure, spillage, segregation or cross-contamination. Once processed, the blended IBC is immediately replaced with a fresh, ready-to-blend IBC, reducing overall process time and accelerating processing.
Why You Should Consider IBC Bin Blending
> Maximise blend time: “Wash the bin, not the blender”
> Maximise Process Ability: Interchange a range of IBC sizes
> Maximise Containment: product remains sealed in bin with zero exposure
> Maximise Readiness: batches can be prepared in IBCs, ready to blend anytime.
> Maximise Control: HMI with recipe storage and batch records (with optional 21 CFR Part 11)
> Reduce manual handling: no awkward loading of tall V-Blenders, while all charging / discharging can be undertaken offline (outside the blending room)
> Reduced downtime: take bin offline for washing, blender itself does not require cleaning
