The Hanningfield Team had a fantastic time visiting Imperial War Museum Duxford for our annual company fun day!
The expansive site in Cambridgeshire is now home to many exhibits including Spitfires, Hurricanes, a B-17 Flying Fortress, Tanks, Concorde and other relics from modern aviation and WW1 and WW2. Duxford, the former RAF site played a leading role in some of the most dramatic days in 20th century history, as it once served as a base for many of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots during the Second World War.
We visited the day before the Battle of Britain Air Show, which meant we had uninterrupted views of many of the pilots practising for the following day’s events. We were lucky enough to enjoy some crisp autumn sunshine and highlights of the day included taking a walk on Concorde, exploring the the Battle of Britain exhibit, the American Air Museum and the Tank collection. Throughout the day we also saw planes such as Tiger Moths, Mustangs and Spitfires perform thrilling stunts!
We are already looking forward to our next fun day!
