On September 12th 2021, the friends and family of James Deeley took part in the Foulness Island Charity Bike Ride. The Team cycled 26 miles (plus a bit extra) to raise money for two charities close to our hearts.
The Papyrus Charity (Prevention of Young Suicide) is a nationwide organisation which is dedicated to the prevention of young suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.
So far, the team have raised more than £5,000 by taking part in the charity bike ride for this important organisation.
In addition to this fantastic amount, Hanningfield’s Dave Soar raised £2,000 for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), meaning over £7,000 has been raised in total.
CALM offers a number of frontline services including phone and online webchat support to those in need. CALM also brings together communities and runs media campaigns to bring awareness to suicide prevention and positive mental health and wellbeing.
James was a wonderful colleague and friend. We are all so proud to have raised this amount in James’ memory and hope the amount raised goes towards helping someone in their time of need.
We would like to thank everyone for their contributions and kind donations and for their support.
