While we offer standard sizes of Powder Recovery Cyclones, there are some applications where the airflow does not sit within these standard ranges. On these occasions, we can engineer and manufacturer a solution to provide a cyclone for bespoke airflow ranges tailored to your application.
For example, an application arose where a cyclone was required to operate within a 40-48 m3/hr airflow. This airflow falls below the range of our smallest cyclone (Type 5), so we designed a cyclone that was sized exactly for the process to offer maximum efficiency (with a 1″ inlet and outlet). The photos from this project are shown below.
About the Hanningfield Cyclone
The Uni-Dust cyclone intercepts waste powder before it reaches the dust extraction system. Typically, 90-99.9% of waste powders are collected and can be used for batch loss reconciliation or reintroduced to the process (where protocol permits).
Although designed for the recovery of waste powder from compression and encapsulation machines (e.g. tablet press, capsule filling machine), the Uni-Dust is proven to be equally effective in numerous other applications. This includes sachet filling, spray drying, inhalation and any other process where excess dust is extracted.
Where required, the cyclone can also incorporate a manifold for connection to ancillary equipment such as tablet dedusters or capsule polishers.
For greater control over your process, the Uni-Dust cyclone can be modified to include various optional upgrade features including safe-change, level control or sight glass (in catchpot), isolation valve and air balancing valves.
All equipment can be supplied with full validation documentation (FS/DS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ) and 3.1 mill certificates to EN10204.
