
At Hanningfield, we proudly offer bespoke designs when a customer requires a solution to overcome a specific set of process issues. With almost forty years experience in powder processing challenges, we understand the needs of our customers and are able to manufacture new equipment which can be retrofitted to an existing process line. We recently manufactured this integrated vacuum milling system for a customer requiring a more tailored solution.
The Hanningfield Uni-Vac is designed to automate and accelerate your powder transfer and loading processes, in this instance into a conical mill. Providing dust-tight conveying of material from A to B, the unit easily integrates with other process machinery, and eliminates manual handling while increasing productivity and reducing material loss.
Hanningfield worked alongside a pharmaceutical customer based in South East Asia to manufacture this bespoke system. The unit included a range of specialist features to perfectly suit the customer’s exact milling process, including a unique frame to swing the vacuum hopper above the conical mill inlet, a silicone compensator for dust-tight docking and a buffer hopper with level sensor and vibrator to prevent product bridging. The entire system was designed to be controlled via a single Siemens HMI display and the unit featured amp monitoring for early detection of motor overload.
This integrated vacuum milling system is another excellent example of how we are able to work with our customers to deliver designs tailored to their exact process requirements.
Hanningfield Vacuum Transfer Systems
Hanningfield‘s Uni-Vac vacuum conveyors are designed for the safe and convenient method of transferring powders, granules, flakes, pellets and other materials. The dust-tight sealed system prevents the contamination of material during the transfer process, while simultaneously protecting the operator and process environment from product exposure or accidental damage, and thereby minimising waste.
The Uni-Vac is suitable for a number of applications including ‘suck-and-dump’ and direct loading. The unit can also be modified with optional upgrade features including level control, line clearance valves, CIP / WIP, HEPA filters, support frames etc where applicable. All equipment can be supplied with full validation documentation (FS/DS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ) and 3.1 mill certificates to EN10204.
Upon request, all models of Uni-Vac can be made suitable for use in Zone 0/20 ATEX environments.
