Role Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join an independent family-owned Engineering business as an Engineering Apprentice, where our manufacturing experience and resources will provide you with a unique grounding. We work on exciting projects with high profile clients from all kinds of industry sectors, from Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage to Nuclear amongst others. Working Monday – Friday you will gain valuable experience with one of the UK’s niche manufacturing and Engineering businesses, plus study and gain qualifications through leading training providers.
Hanningfield Process Systems is an independent family run business, founded in 1987, specialising in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of machinery for handling, process and containment of powder in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD). Being family run and owned means we can have the freedom and passion to deliver better products and services.
We do much of our Machining in-house, amongst our Fitting, Welding, and Fabrication, Polishing, Electrics to Designing, so we are well rounded in our knowledge of our products from start to the point they end up with our customers. We are passionate about the products we make, and the customers that we cater for, and we want to ensure that they always receive a top-class service.
We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about learning. The candidate will work closely with our experienced team members and will have a fully hands on role with getting stuck in about learning the ropes in a manufacturing workshop.
Various Apprentice positions available across machining, welding, assembly and electrical.
- Machining: combination of manual (lathes and mills) and CNC mill-turn in a toolroom environment.
- Welding: TIG welding of stainless steel and use of fabrication equipment such as cone rollers, guillotines and press brakes.
- Assembly: electro-mechanical assembly and fitting of full machines.
- Electrical: building control panels, learning wiring diagrams and exposure to programming (e.g. Siemens TIA portal).
