Powder handling is a vital consideration in the pharmaceutical, food and associated industries; the correct handling of material can help realise a dual benefit of increased productivity and safety. Hanningfield design and manufacture a range of powder handling systems that can be used to help improve your site application. Alongside this, Hanningfield specialise in custom projects and are capable of building turnkey systems to solve niche process problems.
Vacuum technology provides a cost effective and flexible solution to the safe conveying of bulk materials across a broad spectrum of process industries. It provides a method of handling powder in a fully contained and hygienic way whrre material is transferred to an end-destination via pipe work. It is ideally suited to powders, granules and similar materials, and ensures a ‘dust-tight’ product transfer is achieved.
The Hanningfield Uni-Vac system boasts an easy-clean design and is constructed from stainless steel. Many industry leaders have chosen the Uni-Vac for both its quality and reliability, with the system supplied and installed worldwide.
Hanningfield Uni-Vac Advantages;
- Automate and accelerate the loading process
- Dust-tight transfer of material from A to B
- Reduce manual handling (horizontal and vertical transfer)
- Suitable for powders, granules, flakes, pellets etc.
- ATEX (ex-proof) versions available
- Optional ‘stepless’ design for damage-free transfer of tablets or other fragile materials
Hanningfield’s lift systems are designed for the handling of containers such as IBCs, drums, and bins The lift column can also be used to manoeuvre process machinery such as vacuum conveyors and mills. They are engineered for use in hygienic GMP environments and utilise either a lead-screw or chain lifting mechanism, with fail-safe features to prevent the load slipping in case of malfunction. The hoists can be powdered by electric, pneumatic or manual hand-operation. Meanwhile, the hoists can also be stationary (mounted to floor, wall, floor-to-ceiling etc) or mobile on a trolley with castors.
The Hanningfield Uni-Hoist;
- Engineered for safe and repeatable operation in hygienic environments
- Eliminate operator strain
- ‘Raise, Lower, Rotate, Invert, Dock’ at the push of a button
- Versatile designs for handling drums, IBCs, machines – almost anything can be lifted
Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs)
Hanningfield are able to supply stainless steel IBCs for use in the pharmaceutical and related industries. The containers are designed for the safe and contained transport, storage and handling of material. Typically, the IBCs are supplied with capacity of 150 – 2000L+, but can be custom made to suit any process requirement.
