The Rotovalve is a perfect solution for customers looking for a more consistent and repeatable feeding / dosing of product than is possible with a Butterfly Valve. Its hygienic and GMP design means that it is suitable for pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other sanitary applications.
A major benefit of the Rotovalve is that because it is designed to feed and dose pockets of powder, then this means that the downstream equipment will not be overcome with too much powder at any one time.
We have provided a quick overview of the Rotovalve Light-Duty and Heavy-Duty below.
Rotovalve (Light-Duty)
Purpose: designed to feed large volumes of powder continuously and at a controlled pace.
How it Works: The valve uses a pneumatic actuator rotating at 180° dosing several pockets of material homogeneously with each rotation. This gives the customer greater control and understanding of the amount of powder dosed with each turn, giving repeatable and consistent results.
Typical Applications: feeding hoppers, packing lines and tablet presses.
Rotovalve (Heavy-Duty)
Purpose: designed for applications where greater control and accuracy of dosing is required.
How it Works: The valve uses an electric motor to rotate the rotor 360° and as the pockets are all exactly the same it provides a predictable and consistent flow of powder. The RPM regulation gives the operator greater control of dosing the product when compared to the Rotovalve Light-Duty.
Typical Applications: dosing mixers, tablet presses and packing lines.
