For product trials and experimentation, a small scale conical mill is the ideal solution for testing different processing set ups and material characteristics on small samples. Hanningfield’s M05-U lab mill is compact and lightweight (approx. 40kgs as standard), making it suitable for bench-top use or placement inside an isolator.
The M05-U is perfect for low capacity applications, such as grinding small product samples, and it is designed to generate very little heat during the milling process so as to keep material properties unchanged as much as possible. The lab mill offers reliable scale-up results from R&D development, to batch processing, to large scale production.
With customisable and interchangeable tooling, the operator can change the screen hole size, screen hole shape and impeller type on the lab mill. By experimenting with these variables, it is possible to determine the most efficient setup for the material being processed. Moreover, the spacer-less gap feature of the under-driven conical mill makes tooling changes fast and easy (<30 seconds to change screen and impeller).
Due to the compact and lightweight design of the lab mill, it can be supplied with various mounting solutions, including mobile frame, swing-arm, fixed-stand, hoist-mounted, through-the-wall or free-standing.
As standard, the M05-U inlet size is 203mm diameter with a 6″ tri-clover blank on the outlet (inlet / outlet configuration can be modified to suit any requirement). The M05-U features an 83mm screen and can be supplied with a variable speed drive, making the unit well suited to trial and experimentation required of a pharmaceutical laboratory mill.
Features:
> Stainless steel construction (with 316L contact parts)
