The Hanningfield Cyclone
The Uni-Dust filterless cyclone is designed for the recovery of powder in pharmaceutical processes. These processes can include compression and encapsulation. Our cyclone’s highly efficient design captures 90% – 99% of waste powder. This captured powder can be utilised for batch loss reconciliation or where protocol allows, can be reintroduced into the process once again.
The Uni-Dust powder recovery cyclone is equally effective in numerous other applications. These include spray drying, sachet filling, inhalation and many other processes where dust is extracted. Where required, the cyclone can also incorporate a manifold for connection to ancillary equipment such as tablet dedusters or capsule polishers. All equipment can be supplied with full validation documentation (FS/DS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ) and 3.1 mill certificates to EN10204.
Upgrade Your Cyclone
For improved control over your process, the Uni-Dust filterless cyclone can be adapted to include a number of upgrades including safe-change, level control or sight glass (in catchpot), isolation valve and air balancing valves. The Uni-Dust cyclone has no moving parts or filters and thus has almost zero maintenance costs. One major advantage is that the powder recovery cyclone prevents blinding and replacement of expensive filters in central dust extraction systems or vacuum cleaners.
Our powder recovery cyclone has been assessed by a notified body as ATEX exempt; this enables it to be safely used in environments up to ATEX Zone 0/20 (or Class1 Div1). As many process rooms now contend with ATEX regulations, equipment must be cautiously selected to meet explosion proof criteria.
The Uni-Dust remains one of our most popular products. A Powder Recovery Cyclone is not typically seen as an essential piece of equipment for process rooms, but when customers experience the vast benefits of the machine, such as increased batch reconciliations and yields, then they often introduce multiple units to their process. We have successfully installed and received excellent feedback on our cyclones at Fette, Korsch, Sanasi, Bosch and Kilian amongst others.
Non-Standard Applications
While we offer standard sizes of Powder Recovery Cyclones, there are some applications where the airflow does not sit within these standard ranges. In these instances, we are able to design and manufacturer a solution specifically tailored to your application.
