Product Profile
Leading the way in the control of excess dust from powder filling machines, the pioneering technology behind the Hanningfield filterless Uni-Dust powder recovery cyclone offers the ultimate in powder containment solutions.
Traditionally, waste material from powder filling equipment such as tablet presses and capsule filling machines is piped away to a central dust collector located in a plant room. This process results in a cocktail of various powders being stored in an uncontrolled area causing potential environmental damage and operator exposure.
The Hanningfield Uni-Dust cyclone allows collection of these waste materials to be kept within the controlled environment of the process room. A further benefit of collecting these excess materials in the process room is batch loss reconciliation, hence offering vast efficiency improvement.
Batch losses can be verified and recorded by removing the powder collection container at the base of the cyclone and weighing the contents. If required, the powder collector can have a 'safe-change' facility. The filterless cyclone design offers extremely high collection efficiency, in some cases to almost 100%. However, to maintain total integrity, a HEPA filter with safe-storage filters should be installed on the dust extraction line from the cyclone chamber. A number of configurations are possible, allowing the cyclone to be integrated into various system applications.
