Powder Flow Control System



Technical Description

The Powder Flow Control System is designed for controlling the gravity transfer of powder from one process to another. The system is perfect for moderating the loading of process machinery such as compression or encapsulation machines.

The system incorporates a rotary valve for the restricted dosing of powder, and can be customised to include level probe, sight-glass, sampling port, breather sock and can terminate with any flange type for mating with on-site equipment. The control system can be integrated with existing site machinery for regulating the flow of powder (e.g. halt discharge of powder from upstream process if high level sensor is triggered, or ‘call’ for powder when low level sensor is activated). This prevents the overloading and spillage of powder during transfer between floors or machines.

The system is assembled using tri-clover clamps to enable quick and easy dismantling for cleaning and maintenance. All contact parts are manufactured from 316L stainless steel, with FDA compliant seals, gaskets etc.
